The Colonel's Daughter has RSV

A few days ago, I was notified that one of my good friend's twin daughters was diagnosed with RSV or Respiratory Syncytial Virus.

She was admitted to the hospital and is now doing much better. She will be heading home if not all ready.

Get well soon, Maddy.

Ben has RSV right now, but hasn't been hospitalized. I'm glad your friend's daughter is ok.

Ben has RSV right now. And an ear infection (tubes came out).

Sam, jealous of the attention, is also attempting to hack up a lung... but we're not sure he's in true RSV mode yet.

No hospitals... but the parents may go to the rubber ramada if we don't sleep... or get taken in for questioning when we're seen restraining our toddler trying to get him to take an inhaler / breathing treatment.

Good luck, Col.

We lived in the ICU for three days -- Maddy straight up couldn't breathe properly on her own. Pretty much the worst three days of our lives. However, she's home now, and breathing well, although the wicked cough is still lingering and she'll need breathing treatments for a while.

Sabs, thanks for the tribute -- the Internet really pulled together for Maddy and I swear as soon as the emails starting coming in, she started to get better. 21st century medicine for the win.
